I have always loved reading, travel and sharing ideas. I started my career in publishing at A P Watt, the world’s first literary agency. At A P Watt, I gained a wealth of experience in all aspects of agenting, including negotiating translation rights, managing literary estates, drafting contracts, looking after author publicity and learning how to manage author accounts, from chasing up payments to managing tax forms.

After over three years at A P Watt, I was excited to move to ANA, where I progressed to Senior Agent.  During my time, I gained a fantastic experience of international publishing, regularly attending book fairs around the world, including Frankfurt, London and Bologna, alongside trips to major publishing cities including Paris, Milan, Barcelona and New York.

I had the good fortune to collaborate with international publishers from all over the world, to represent many wonderful authors as part of a team, and to work on behalf of many renowned literary agencies including Felicity Bryan Associates, Sheil Land, DCL and Stuart Krichevsky, alongside UK publishers Profile Books and Galley Beggar Press.  This unique experience gave me the expertise to start visioning my own agency, based in my much loved home town of Brighton and Hove.

My vision is a community focused agency, inspired by the creative energy of Brighton and Hove and the heritage of thinkers, writers and artists from Sussex. At the same time, we are warmly open to welcoming clients from around the UK.  We aim to support local publishing connections and creative networks, while giving back to the landscape and local communities through connecting with environmental and literacy projects.
